Wayne Dersch

Wayne Dersch is a Certified Family Law Specialist as well as a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He has exclusively practiced in family law his entire career. As part of his litigation practice, Wayne serves as a discovery referee on complex disputes and volunteers his time as a judge pro tem. He also has been certified by the Courts and testified as an expert witness in family law in relation to civil lawsuits based in family law disputes, such as legal malpractice cases. He also is a member of the Family Law Advisory Group for San Diego County.

In 2020 and again in 2021, the North County Bar Association named him the Family Law Attorney of the Year. He has served as the President of the North County Certified Family Law Specialists for a total of 3 years. He has been a presenter on a variety of complex family law topics at multiple continuing legal education seminars.

Wayne is an Illinois native having earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Historical Studies at Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville before completing law school at California Western School of Law.
