Lisa R. McCall

Lisa R. McCall is a Certified Family Law Specialist and Certified Appellate Law Specialist – one of approximately eleven dual specialists in the State of California. She is the founder and managing attorney of the Law Offices of Lisa R. McCall, APC, in Orange, California. Lisa devotes her practice exclusively to family law, with an emphasis on litigation, post-judgment motions, the statement of decision process, writs and appeals, assessing cases for appellate challenge, and trial consultation. As the principal author of over 100 writs and appeals, Ms. McCall brings unique “hindsight” insight to family law litigation – she knows what can go wrong, how to avoid potential pitfalls at trial, and how to protect the record for potential appeal.

Lisa has been recognized as a FindLaw Super Lawyer since 2023, and is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell. She currently serves on the Amicus Committee of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists and the Executive Committee of the Orange County Bar Association Family Law Section. She previously served in leadership roles with the Orange County Bar Association as Chair of the Family Law Section and the Appellate Law Section, and with the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists as member of the Editorial Committee, Associate Chair of the State Board, and Secretary of the Orange County Board.

Lisa earned her B.A. in Political Science from CSU, Long Beach in 2004, graduating Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and as Outstanding Graduating Senior of the Political Science Department. She received her J.D. from Whittier Law School, Cum Laude, on the Dean’s List, in 2006, where she served as a teaching assistant in legal writing and as a member of the Law Journal of Child and Family Advocacy.

Lisa previously co-taught a course on appellate advocacy as an adjunct law professor at Whittier Law School and tutored law students for the California Bar Exam. She regularly volunteers as an attorney scorekeeper for the mock trial program hosted by Constitutional Rights Foundation of Orange County, as well as the moot court competitions at CSU, Long Beach. She has written articles in legal journals and presented to her peers on the statement of decision process, post-judgment motions and preserving the record for appeal.
